Apart from these, congenital abnormalities, especially in the neonatal period, are also within the scope of Pediatric Surgery.

- Congenital abnormalities detected in the neonatal period (0-28 days)
- Esophageal abnormalities
- Stomach and intestinal system abnormalities
- Liver and biliary tract abnormalities
- Kidneys, urinary tract and bladder abnormalities
- Abdominal wall formation abnormalities
- Congenital tumors
- Problems detected in infancy (2-24 months)
- Congenital abnormalities (respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, urinary problems with urinary tract and bladder, genital area abnormalities)
- Intestinal bleeding
- Intussusception (intertwining – knotting of the intestines)
- Meckel’s diverticulum
- Pyloric (stomach outlet) stenosis
- Bile duct obstructions
Common problems at all ages:
- Inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, hydrocele, undescended testicle
- Appendicitis
- Intestinal blockages
- Foreign objects entering the respiratory or gastrointestinal tract
- Abnormalities related to the reproductive and excretory system (stenosis in the kidney outlet)
- Uretero – pelvic stenosis -, renal reflux – vesicoureteral reflux, stone, urinary hole not in its normal place – hypospadias, epispadias
